BIRTH CERTIFICATE APOSTILLE ATTESTATION

Your birth can’t be declared legal if you done your document certified from the state government, where you are living. A birth comes to many uses for an individual as he or she can show their proper birth timing, place of birth and etc for any public or personal concerns. Birth certificates can also be asked at the time of joining a workplace or if you are applying for a competitive examination. So it can easily be understood which kind of importance a birth certificate holds with itself. If you haven’t attested your documents, then it’s no late, do it now.

Birth certificate attestation is quite necessary procedure before one apply for his/her kid’s admission in schools abroad. Authentication of birth certificate signifies the genuinty of the date of the birth. The attestation has to be first done from the state (home) where the certificate was issued, external affairs, further by the embassy where the applicant is seeking for school admission.

Only original documents duly authenticated by the designated authorities of the State Governments are Apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs. Apostille Attestation is done on the reverse side of the original document. The applicants need to submit the following documents/fees

Ø  Original document to be attested or apostilled;

Ø  One clear photocopy of the document

Ø  One clear photocopy of the passport

Apostilles can be issued by a competent authority designated by the state on whose territory the public document has been executed.

Apostille stickers are issued on certificates including birth and death, affidavits, powers of attorney, marriage certificates and educational documents like degrees, diplomas , matriculation and secondary level certificates. However, commercial documents are excluded from the purview of the Apostille Convention.

India is a signatory to the Apostille convention; and has designated the same authorities for authentication of documents for Attestation as well as for Apostille.
